PAUL STANLEY Getting Great Response On Solo Tour
November 1, 2006Launch Radio Networks reports: Paul Stanley's in the midst of a solo tour in support of his new album "Live To Win", and things are going really well. Stanley and the house band from the "Rock Star" reality TV show have been playing songs from throughout his career, with fans responding enthusiastically for all of them. Stanley told Launch that it's gratifying to know people are enjoying it as much as they seem to be. "The great thing about doing a solo tour is that people are there, clearly, to see you, and to hear your contribution to their lives, and also to the band that you're affiliated with," he said. "So when we're playing things from 'Live To Win' and people know them, or when we're playing stuff from my first solo album, or even the obscure KISS songs we do, it's just very, very gratifying, you know, 'cause they're all my songs, and it's great to know that they connect with people so well."
"Live To Win" came out on October 24 and sold just under 17,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land at position No. 53 of The Billboard 200 chart.
Stanley hits the Palace Theatre in Greensburg, Pennsylvania tonight.
Stanley is also promoting the release on DVD this week of "Kissology: Volume One 1974-1977", which has rare and unreleased live footage from the band's early days.
